Pastor's Message

Vision & Mission

We rely on the work of volunteers as facilitators, so things happen at the church; from singing in choirs to mailing the newsletter, and from visiting homebound members to serving on church committees.

Each of us is given gifts to be used for the work of the church and Christ’s ministry in the world.

Volunteering helps us broaden our outreach to the our church family and the community while improving Wesley's community image and relations.

Adults can find their positive self-worth and build relationships by facilitating our groups and studies.

Parents can help others while spending more time with their kids, passing on important values, and sharing meaningful conversations in a positive environment.

Senior citizens are a wealth of knowledge, due to their experiences, that make them an excellent resource for young adults, families, and youth who want to decern what to do in today's busy and hectic world.

Youth become better grounded for the world when they volunteer for support roles that teach them the values of committment and responsibility.

Opportunities exist today to proclaim the gospel and lead persons into meaningful experiences that were not even imagined a few years ago. If you get involved a little, you will reap more than you plant.

The Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees is preparing to do a complete inventory of the church.  Volunteers are needed to make inventory lists.  The Trustees will make a video available and then you can inventory a room such as the Gathering Area for books, tables, and even thing s in the cupboards.  See the April newsletter for more details and sheets in the box the the Gathering Area.

Christian Education Chairperson

What a wonderful way to build for the future of Wesley UMC by leading the Christian Education Committee. From the programs that are planned by this committee you can affect Adults, Children, Families, and Youth.

Church Nurse

In 2008 Wesley United Methodist would once again like to provide the opportunity for blood pressure checks on a monthly basis between worship services.  If you are a nurse or a retired nurse, and can volunteer on Sundays, we need you!

Church Historian

Wesley UMC is a church with a rich 130 + year history and we want to preserve information, pictures, and documents of that history
