Spare an Afternoon; Strike out Hunger

  

Can you “spare” an afternoon to “strike” out hunger? A Bowling Party is being planned for Sunday, March 7th from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. The place is still being decided and will be announced soon.

   
Bring a non-perishable food item or cash to donate to Wesley Food Pantry. Please mark your calendars and plan to join us for an
afternoon of bowling.

   

Easter Flowers

          

It has been tradition for Wesley Church to offer the congregation
the opportunity to provide flowers to decorate the sanctuary for
Easter morning. As of this printing we don’t have the final list of
flower choices, the cost involved nor the order deadline.

From the Memorial Team

      

2009 was a busy year for the Memorials Team. There were a number of projects that were started and/or completed through the faithful giving of friends and families to memorialize their loved ones.
The Fellowship Hall windows received new window treatments. New tables & chairs were purchased for the Fellowship Hall, new altar cloths for the Sanctuary, and landscaping for around the exterior of the church. Significant gifts were also given to help with the
Organ Renovation Project.

      
If you would like to give a financial gift in memory of someone, here are some of the projects on which the Memorial Team is working. (You could call this our “wish list”): commercial carpet cleaning
machine, new pew cushions, new and updated audio-visual equipment, window treatments for the Chapel-Lounge, organ
renovation, and food pantry.

     

Attention Graduates

    

Wesley Church would like to recognize all the people at our church who have or will be graduating this academic year. Graduate Sunday is being planned for June 6. Graduates from High School,
College, Universities, Professional Degrees, Masters or PHD’s
are encouraged to contact Ellen Kemnitz or Deb Roberts to be included in the celebration.

A breakfast with the graduates is being planned for 8:30 - 9:45 am on Sunday, June 6 and sponsored by the high school Sunday school class.
