WALK IN THE WORD

Featuring Pastor James MacDonald

   
This class will examine a series of topics dealing with the Christian faith, presented in audio series, and led by James MacDonald, the founding pastor of Harvest Bible Chapel, Chicago. Walk in the Word, the nationally syndicated Bible teaching ministry of Pastor James is renowned for its emphasis on searching the scriptures for daily guidance and spiritual renewal, and is heard each morning in our area on 89Q FM radio. We are currently working through a study of the book of Hebrews.

LIVING ABOVE WORRY AND STRESS

Barb Miller will continue to lead the Women’s study group. They will be finishing the book “Living Above Worry & Stress” from the Women of Faith study guide series. Sign-up on Rally Day, September 13 and class will start September 20th during Power Hour in the conference room. Even if you didn’t attend the group last year it’s not too late to join in on the lively discussion.

Mission Trip Opportunities

        

YouthWorks Multi-generational Trip to Sault Ste Marie (Kinross), MI, Sunday,
July 25th through Thursday, July 30th. This is a 7 hour drive with departure time at approximately 7:00 am Sunday and returning by 8:00 pm on Thursday.
          

This multi-generational trip is tailored to the needs and capabilities of groups from
all ages and will provide meaningful service opportunities as well as cultural and
recreational opportunities for every generation to enjoy.

      
Cost is $228.00 per person plus transportation. If we get enough people to sign up we will rent a coach and all travel together!

          
You must sign up by the October 31st deadline. You will be required to attend business meetings and fund raising events to participate. See Pastor Tim or Deb Roberts if you have any questions.

     

Dominican Republic Mission Trip

    

We are seeking 1 adult male and 1 adult female to lead a youth mission trip to the
Dominican Republic for Spring Break 2011. March 25th through April 3rd. You would be working with Solid Rock Missions.

        
The estimated cost for this trip would be $1,500 - $1,700.00 per person. Anyone
interested would need to make the decision by December 1st. We need to start
preparations at least 1 year in advance. Please see Pastor Tim or Deb Roberts if you are interested in leading this trip.
